One engine, many rooms

Painted Family is the index of the Painted studios. Each studio paints one kind of subject from a photograph — a cat, a horse, a house, a couple, a grandmother whose picture is the only one left — and this site hangs two of its plates side by side and links you to it. Twenty are open today.

Who runs it

Every studio, and this index, is run by PaintedApp, LLC. One mailbox answers for all of them: support@painted.app. Post goes to PaintedApp, LLC, 1327 SE Tacoma St #394, Portland, OR 97202.

What it sells

Nothing, here. A portrait, a print or a file is ordered on the studio’s own site, at the price that studio shows before you pay, under that studio’s terms. What this site keeps is a sign-in, and the privacy page says exactly what that holds.

Why separate studios

Because the styles that flatter a whale are not the ones that flatter a bride. The engine is shared; the style library is chosen for the subject, and a studio carries only the styles built for what it paints. The longer version is in the Journal.

The memorial studios

Painted Eternal, Painted Kindred and Painted Heavens make portraits for people who are grieving. They link only to each other and to painted.app, carry no urgency and no upsell, and sit apart from the seasonal studios on every page of the house.
